Do no purchase…
As said numerous times…forecasts are not even close; can not monitor outdoor temperature without pressing “snooze” button (which can not be done unless holding the unit with another hand); online monitoring of home temperature is non-existant; will not answer customer service email. An expensive exercise in futility…

Junk product, nonexistant customer “support”
Bought this for my daughter - worked fine for a week, notwithstanding the horrific hissing noise from the gateway. Then it lost connectivity to the internet router. Tried calling Customer Support (which does not have an 800 number, is available only from 8 to 5 M-F (when I am at work), and does not answer the phone half the time). Got some instructions on what to do to fix the problem, none of which worked. As an aside, customer support told me that it’s “normal” to expect the unit to lose connectivity every so often, and to go through all the ridiculous steps of factory resetting the devices, re-registering, etc. After 5 days of calling and trying to fix it with no luck, I am giving up on this unit. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Honestly?
My wife and I received this as a gift a while ago and just got around to setting it up.First off, I don’t really understand the need for a weather station that needs to be connected to the internet. Wouldn’t generic-[...] and a thermometer on the window do the same thing? Besides my lack of marketing savvy, which these guys apparently have a lot of; the thing does not work. First, the little transceiver (known as the “gateway”) squeals like a little electronic locust, the kind of squeal that one might think would keep bugs away and irritate small mammals. They also require a registration process that seems simple enough but intrudes on the privacy a little. They want an e-mail address, no doubt to pawn off more of their wonderful product along with premium subscriptions. Then you have to enter the serial number off of the “gateway” which I did several times……….In fact, I still remember the number on the back….00 11 53 44. Go ahead, try it. It doesn’t work. All it would do is reply with
“Gateway registration failed. Please make sure that the Serial No. you entered matches the Serial No. on the back of the Gateway. Confirm that the Gateway is connected to the Internet by looking to make sure that the Red LED on the Gateway blinks in groups of four. If it does not, please visit Gateway Registration Help.”
I had the red light that “blinks in groups of four” and I went to registration help, which was no help. None of their blanket responses to common problems covered their crappy registration system. Their contact customer service just lets you write an email to them. I think I will just direct them to this review. Writing this review is much more satisfying than actually trying to get that product working.
