Black & Decker VPX0320, Works Like it Should

Overall Rating55555

Works Like it Should

A fast charger (4 hours or less) for the VPX batteries. Can be daisy chained so you can use multiple charges at once and save an outlet. Although it’s plastic, it seems it will hold up on the workbench.

Excellent tool, no following
I don’t know why but the VPX system didn’t catch on with the public so Black & Decker decided to cancel this line of tools. However according to an email in answer to a question B&D will continue manufacturing the batteries and chargers. Now as for the tools themselves, they are tough, durable and really do a great job performing light to moderate duty tasks around the home.

I have purchased all of the product line and use them frequently, the dual battery drill really makes it easy to drive in 3 inch screws for decking and the batteries last forever it seems. Each tool from the VPX line is built with quality in mind and I can say after my 3rd year owning them they are excellent tools that will last a good long time.

B&D’s decision to keep making the batteries and charges should take any fears away from people who are leary of purchasing the systems since the only thing that will eventually wear our are the batteries. Still I have not yet had the need to replace a single battery, and after 3 years that’s saying something that my Makita and other battery powered tools can’t say!

Charger solved my issues. Very well pleased!
The batteries and B & D units were sold. However, I have found a charger for the best, long-lasting Battier I have ever known? The VPX was one of my favorites.
