Yes, it does work!

I was getting no where on 2 bolts holding my brake pad mounts on the wheel, tried 2 other products to no avial. Read a couple of reviews of PB Blaster and was intrigued by someone who said it doesn’t drip. Read about the stuff and that the liquids is magnetized so it clings to the bolts (if steel). Tried it and it does! Clings like a babies… nevermind. Anyway, waited a few minutes and tried again, and heard that wonderful grunt sound that a bolt makes when it is loosing it’s grip! Awesome! Highly recommend. PS, you can find it in just about any auto parts store for around $5 and if you drive yourself, free shipping!

Fabulous stuff!
I was a marine engine mechanic for 10 years working on saltwater corroded motors. Nothing like this stuff. Smells a bit so use sparingly indoors. A bargain at twice the price.

Made Me a Believer
So I’ve recently taken a more DIY approach to things and decided to change my own brakes / rotors on my car.

Everything was going fine, until I got to the second rotor, and couldn’t get the thing to come off. I pounded on it with a mallet for some time (on and off for a good 25-30min), put a whole lot of WD40 on it, but nothing. Didn’t even budge. So, I decided to look for a better solution, and found this stuff recommended on various auto forums. Most everything I found said that if this couldn’t take it off, the last resort was going to be a cutting torch. So, I bought a can.

Took it home, sprayed it in between the rotor and into the bolts and was surprised to see that it did actually stick pretty close and didn’t drip as much as the WD40. The stream is very precise and lets you get into small spots without a straw. I let it sit for a couple minutes, and came back with a dead blow hammer, and a few hits later was on my way again.

I wish I had this stuff to begin with. It would have saved me a lot of time and frustration. It’s not fancy, and looks like a bottle of snake oil with all the promises on the packaging, but it comes through and does what it promises.

If you have something rusted together and stuck, this will save you a LOT of time over other options. For the price (< $5), it’s definitely worth the time.
